USFirst is the organization that plans the robotics competition that we compete in. On their webpage, you can see a detailed list of competitions and the dates on which they are held, as well as what teams will be competing in those competitions. You can also find the game descriptions so you can familiarize yourself with the task that lays before us. Information about First Lego League and First Vex Challenge is located on this page too. This is a great FIRST community forum where many different people from all of the teams can talk and have a place to post various topics. One incredibly useful part of this site is the white papers section, where there are tutorials for almost anything that needs to get done in the USFirst competition. This is where to post questions about any problems that you may encounter while building your robot.

This site has its share of how-to articles as well as pages for each team, and since it’s a “wiki”, anybody can edit or change things, so it is constantly growing. Right now, there is still much information missing regarding the history of various teams, but it is constantly growing as people add information about the team that they are a part of.

For any of the teams that are using AutoCad Inventor to help design their robot, this site is one that needs to be bookmarked. It is an archive of various parts that are already drawn and available for you to download and use in your robot’s rendering. It has everything from field elements to electronics, and in many different file formats. Save yourself some time drawing everything and take a look in here.

Have a question about anything that is related to Autodesk? This is the place where you will most definantly find the answer. A brand new website for the 2007 FIRST Robotics competition season, teams will be able to visit this website and download software that they will need as well as see tutorials for using this software. This is sure to be another great site that the teams of USFirst will soon come to depend on for useful information.
